StoryCorps DIY is a set of multimedia, self-paced courses for community organizations seeking to embed storytelling into their work. Our Fundamentals Course offers insights and best practices from StoryCorps staff and partners on how to develop and implement a recording program at your organization.
In addition, StoryCorps DIY features a growing number of special courses with considerations for hosting StoryCorps-style recordings in specific settings, including the classroom and bereavement support organizations.
We hope these tools will set you on your way towards building a sustainable storytelling program in your community. Seeking additional resources or have a project to share? We’d love to hear from you! Send us a message on our Contact Page.
Looking to become an official partner and receive customized support from StoryCorps? Visit our StoryCorps For Hire page or contact our Custom Services team at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss partnership possibilities for for-profit and non-profit organizations.
StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.
We do this to remind one another of our shared humanity, to strengthen and build the connections between people, to teach the value of listening, and to weave into the fabric of our culture the understanding that everyone’s story matters. At the same time, we are creating an invaluable archive for future generations.
